New Technology vs Old Technology: No Need To Compromise

When we think of a home with an AGA, we love the idea of cold winter evenings, hot winter AGA cooked stew and dumplings, warm ambient kitchen heat, hot water bottles, mulled wine, Christmas coming, rugby kit drying and a baking oven full of cake. When people think of new AGA technology, they often worry that those ideals are a thing of the past.

For those of you live in a cold country home or a Victorian mansion, during the winter you no doubt long for that AGA ambient warmth in your kitchen. But the idea of controlled running costs and being a master of our own universe is tempting too. Luckily the new technology can offer it all.

Dual Control

This model comes in three oven or five oven models and will enable you to switch your ovens into ‘slumber’ mode. This gives an ambient heat of around 180/200 degrees. To cook, you just allow around 30 to 40 minutes for the ovens to come up to full heat. Each hotplate can be operated individually or both together.

The flexibility of the AGA Dual Control means that you can achieve significantly lower running costs; as little as 50% of the cost of running a 13amp heat-storage AGA cooker!

Total control

This model comes in three oven or five oven models and like the Dual Control the hobs can be operated individually. However the great feature of the Total Control is that it offers complete controllability of the individual ovens too.

The flexibility of the AGA Total Control means that you can achieve significantly lower running costs, as little as 20% of the cost of running a heat-storage AGA cooker.

In our Leominster showroom we sell gas, oil and electric AGA cookers –and we invite you to browse with a cup of coffee (and more often than not, an AGA cooked cake!)

TOP TIP

Now is a great time to purchase a two or four oven Oil AGA, at an extremely reasonable cost before a price rise in December 2014
