Installing an AGA

An AGA cooker should always be built on site to ensure that all cast iron components are aligned and that the cooker conducts heat efficiently. We never deliver a cast iron AGA cooker pre-assembled. Our engineers are OFTEC and/or Gas Safe registered for installing oil and gas fired AGAs respectively. Our engineers are also trained to install the full range of electric AGA cookers.

Pre-Prepared Site

Our cookers are installed onto a pre-prepared site. This means that there should be a suitable sturdy, level base for the AGA to stand on, with a plinth if required. If the cooker is venting into a conventional flue then the flue should be in place for the cooker to connect to and if the cooker requires an electrical supply then a suitable socket should be in place for our installer to connect to.

A full installation guide & plinth requirements can be supplied on request prior to placing an order with us and will always be supplied with a confirmed order.

Flue, Plumbing & Utilities Work

Our engineers will not make any alterations to any fuel or electricity supplies, plumbing, flues or existing installations around the AGA such as tiles, kitchen units or worktops. It is very important that these services are in place, in the correct position as detailed in the installation manual and to current regulations. If this is not the case then we may not be able to complete the installation.

Site Surveys

Depending on the AGA model you are buying, you may require an AGA home survey. We can arrange for one of our experienced project managers to visit you at home to confirm the AGA requirements and siting within your kitchen.
