Sadly, not all Aga cookers have been looked after as well as they might have been. When an old Aga cooker comes to us for renovation, it often looks tired, worn and chipped. We strip it down and thoroughly remove all the grease and grime by sandblasting all the internal components. All parts are inspected and either repaired or if required replaced for new. Genuine Aga parts including brand new burners and controls are always used. All parts are produced to the
highest quality standards and Aga-Twyford holds European CE Certification for the manufacture of their gas burners for use in the UK and many other countries
The external parts of the cooker are re-enamelled using the standard high quality vitreous enamel process. Nowadays there are many colours available. Our standard colour range consists of: British
Racing Green, Dark Oxford Blue and Black. Our Ground-Coated colours are Cream, Yellow and Pewter, and our Special Options Colours are: Wedgwood Blue, Claret, Aubergine, Pistachio and Heather. Custom colours are also possible by special request.
Due to the nature of the vitreous enamelling process, colours may vary slightly from batch to batch, and while we can supply physical samples on small squares of enamel, these can vary slightly in hue from the finished product. It must be realised by the customer that part of the charm of an Aga cooker is that each one is slightly different from the next.
