the Rayburn Cooker Range
Better than you ever imagined

Rayburn Range Cookers
Throughout history Rayburn Range has been inseparable from life in the country. When shire horses ploughed the fields and generations worked the land - a Rayburn range cooker, with its gentle background heat, was always at the centre of family life, turning houses into homes.
Today, Rayburn Range is just as popular as it's always been. Smooth lines, attractive colours and solid reliability have created a design classic that blends in perfectly with the latest kitchens and contemporary modern styles.

Rayburn - A design classic
The timeless appeal of a Rayburn Range cooker is epitomised by its beautiful enamelled exterior, classic styling and efficient cooking technique. Truly an object of desire, there’s a Rayburn Cooker to suit every type of kitchen. Manufactured from cast iron and enamelled in an attractive choice of classic colours, a Rayburn Range cooker is guaranteed to transform your kitchen into a warm and welcoming space.

All the flexibility, all the choice
The Rayburn Range Cooker is as versatile as you are in the kitchen, offering a choice of fuel, size and design options to match your needs. Whether your kitchen is creatively casual or fully fitted down to the last detail, there’s a Rayburn Range to suit you. You can opt for a conventional flue or power flue, which allows you to position your Rayburn cooker almost anywhere. Most models are thermostatically controlled to automatically maintain a constant temperature. And, of course, you can choose from a range of enamel colours from classic Cream and rich Claret to vibrant Royal Blue and contemporary Pewter.

Rayburn Range Cooker 200 Series
A compact model that’s perfectly at home in any kitchen.
With all the power and efficiency you would expect from a Rayburn Range, in a compact size, the 200 is ideal for smaller kitchens. Featuring a large main oven with either a second cooking or warming oven depending on fuel type, the 200 Series is perfect for succulent roasts, real home baking and the complete range of contemporary cuisine. Fuel options are kerosene oil, solid fuel and woodburning, natural and propane (LPG) gas.

Rayburn Range Cooker 300 Series
The perfect fit for today’s fitted kitchen.
A little deeper than the 200 Series, the Rayburn 300 will integrate with the depth of your kitchen units. A generous hotplate takes up to five saucepans, and is complemented by a main cooking oven and a large warming oven. The 300 Series is specifically designed to run on kerosene.

Rayburn Range Cooker 400 Series
Freedom to choose installation with or without a chimney.
Compatible with the height and depth of 600mm worktops and wider than our 200 and 300 models, this is the largest model. A cast iron lower oven operates at half the temperature of the main oven. The range also features an integral automatic timer–plus the option of an external programmer. A 400 Series Rayburn Range can either be flued through a suitable chimney or the power flue models allow the cooker to be installed virtually anywhere. Fuel options are kerosene oil, natural and propane (LPG) gas.

Nothing cooks like a Rayburn Range
From high-heat cooking which quickly brings out the best in vegetables to gentle roasting and brilliant baking, the Rayburn Range is master of all culinary styles.
The hotplate, with its stylish insulated lids, is delightfully simple to use, with a large surface area that offers gentle simmering at one end and rapid boiling at the other. The large capacity cast iron main oven is controllable and vented, allowing cooking at different temperatures simultaneously. It’s complemented by a lower oven for warming or cooking, depending on the model chosen. So, whether you’re cooking up a simple dish or the most complex of modern recipes, you can rely on the Rayburn Range to perform beautifully.

Kind-to-food heat makes the difference
The Rayburn Range cooker is an authentic cast iron range cooker benefiting from indirect heat technology.
We call this “radiant heat”, “kind to food” heat, because rather than allowing food to dry out, it seals in the flavours and natural juices, creating healthier, more delicious dishes.
So, whether you’re fearlessly creative in the kitchen and like to act on impulse or prefer to follow your recipes to the letter, with a Rayburn range cooker you’ll find it easier to get perfect results time after time. The Cookmaster’s strength is its versatility.

All the ingredients for success
1. The large cast iron main oven is easily controlled for superb baking, slow cooking and mouth-watering roasts. Heat zones allow you to cook at different temperatures simultaneously. A meat tin, grill rack, plain shelf, and oven shelves are supplied. Self-cleaning and odour eliminating.
2. Using the ovens and hotplate in combination means you can choose the required level of heat needed for every kind of cooking. The hotplate’s large surface area provides different temperatures across its length, allowing simmering at one end and rapid boiling at the other. It can also be used for toasting bread or making delicious drop scones. Two stylish polished insulating lids cover the hotplate to retain heat and maintain operational temperature.
3. The lower oven is two-thirds the size of the main oven and suitable for warming or cooking depending on the model chosen. Models with a cast iron lower oven, where the temperature is half that of the main oven, are perfect for slow cooking or steaming. Certain Rayburn Range models have a sheet metal lower oven, which provides an area handy for warming or for resting a joint before carving.
4. Use the top of the main oven for easy grilling and the ultimate Great British breakfast. Even when grilling, fat splashes are carbonised and odours are vented to the outside.
5. Because the ovens are vented into the flue, the flavours from one dish will not taint another when cooked in the same oven.
6. Power flue models feature a convenient pan stand.

Traditional craftsmanship and the latest technology
Far more than simply an object of beauty, today’s Rayburn Range cooker is a thoroughly modern cooking appliance.
A choice of burners provides efficient and economic cooking, operating from four different fuel options. All Rayburn Ranges have a semi-storage heat system–you can control when to turn the heat up and down. Looked after properly, your cooker will continue to provide years of reliable cooking pleasure.

The inside story – Let’s take you on a tour of the Rayburn Range Cooker.
1. The hotplate is of solid, one-piece cast iron construction, with
heat graduated along its length. As with a professional chef’s
hotplate, it’s so easy to slide pans from simmering to boil – or any
temperature in between. Larger models will take up to five saucepans
with ease and the integral pan stand is a useful feature of Power Flue
Cookmaster models.
2. The heat source burner unit varies from model to model. Some have
the traditional continuous burn feature; others have advanced high
power units which allow intermittent operation.
3. The insulated lids mark the Rayburn Range as a true range cooker.
When in the closed position they retain the heat from the hotplate,
leaving their highly polished finish warm to the touch.
4. The main oven is ideal for all types of cooking. Made from cast
iron and using indirect heat, the oven can cook with the gentle
efficiency that is unique to an authentic range. A thermodial in the
main oven door gives a guide to the centre oven temperature.
5. The lower oven can be of cast iron or sheet metal construction.
The former operates at half the main oven temperature, the latter at
one third. |
